Puy Saint-Mary

A 19thc. chapel dedicated to St. Mary stands at the top. It was built on the former site of a medieval chapel, by the monks of the St. Pierre monastery in Mauriac. It once was a popular centre of pilgrimage that went on for about 800 years, and it now holds a regular yearly market on 8th June. The views from the top expand from the Dordogne gorges to the Monedieres, from the Correze hills to the Cantal and Puy de Dome mountains. An orientation table is there to guide you.
