Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne

This low mountain range oscillate between valleys and ridges, and ranges from 400 metres altitude to 1886 metres (Puy de Sancy peak in the Massif Central). It comprises five natural areas which their distinctive landscape : Artense, Cézallier, Monts du Cantal, Monts Dômes and Monts Dore. In these wide open spaces it is essential to take the time to explore in order to fully appreciate the scenery, fauna and flora, culture and crafts. Try the Auvergne volcanoes !

From the valleys to the mountains - 90km

SAINTE-EULALIE Here you can admire a charming Romanesque church. • Take the road D37 going to Saint-Martin-Valmeroux. SAINT-MARTIN VALMEROUX You will discover a natural water spring in the direction of Nozières, an old market hall situated on the square, as well as a nice gothic church from the 15th century (porch, stalls, lectern, thorn shooter, sculptures). Near the village, you can admire different panoramas of the valley (Rocher de la Vierge, la Croix Jalenques). • Follow the D37 towards Salers, then the D537 in Salles towards Saint-Rémy.
